OK, so i am going into next years schooling and we are required to get an iPad or a laptop..
Guess which one I chose.. So i need the best performing gaming laptop for under $1500 Australian Dollars.

"gaming laptop?" you say? "Why not a work laptop?", I am in need of a high performing laptop so when i'm on the go i can play my games. Whether it be on holiday or just out of the house at a friends and I couldn't be bothered bringing my Desktop.

If the forum could help me with this, i would be extremely appreciative!

Yours Sincerely ~marcus

bro lmao. i just looked up price!! $2300. i dont think he read the thread!

Yup. $1500AUD is about $1082USD. I can probably recommend laptops available here for $1082US, but then you'd have to find similar models available in Australia. If you can give examples of places you'd purchase from, that would help.

that would be good thank you. centrecom. JB HI FI. Harvey Norman. PC Case Gear. they would be the best bet!

So far I've looked at all 122 laptops that Harvey Norman shows on their site. Haven't found anything much for $1500AUD worth buying. Exactly what games are you hoping to be able to play?

Here's 2 of the "better" (less bad?) ones I saw in your range, but still don't look like much (although I'm not a gamer):

Gonna keep looking, but hopefully someone else will chime in here too! :D

EDIT: Skip Harvey Norman completely! :p

Another nice one:

Same thing from centrecom:

This is the one I would probably go with.
Here are reviews of the GE62 Apache. The details such as HDD and cpu/gpu may differ, but you'll get a general idea:

I think ASUS or MSI are your best bet.
