why is my brand new acer aspire e15 laptop go black when i plug it in

Hi,
Does it go black when you plug it in even if the laptop is on your desktop screen already? Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Do a hard reset, remove the battery(if not built in) and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then see if the same problem will persist.
- If these doesn't work, uninstall/reinstall "microsoft acpi-compliant control method battery" from Device Manager.
- Again if it will not solve the problem I would suggest taking it back to where you purchased it from.
