laptop screen white

My laptop turned into black screen few months ago. Then I used external monitor. Few days ago laptop display turn on and started to display as a white screen. I want to know problem is with the display or ribbon. Laptop turn on sometimes even lid is closed. I select "projector only" as a selected display method. But still laptop screen is working with the white screen.

Hi,

I just want to verify if I understand the issue correctly. The built in display of the laptop will display but only a white screen and when you connect an external monitor it display normal on it right? If that is the case there are few things you can do with it. You can check the ribbon cable that connects the built in display to the motherboard but after you've done this and the same problem persist that means you'll need to replace the LCD itself.

Yea, external display working correctly. I will check the cable. I check the cable few months ago. It seems like damaged. Thank you for the support.
