I have a HP probook 4430s. When I turn it on the screen starts to load then screen turns black and will not finish loading except the curser. This has been going on for a dew days since my child took the battery out by accident. I can get to the start up menu but will not load anything else Any help trying to fix?.

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in resolving the issue.
- Start by pressing CTRL+ATL+DEL all at the same time and select Task Manager. If Task Manager will open click on File then New Task and type in explorer.exe and click OK.
- If Task Manager will not open try to load the laptop into Safe Mode. While the laptop is booting up repeatedly press on F8 until Advanced Boot Options will open. Select Safe Mode and press Enter. Once in Safe Mode open Task Manager and disable all your startup items then Reboot your laptop.
- If all these will not work you may need to run a factory reset to resolve the issue.
