Hey all,

My computer is a Sager NP9377 Notebook, I’ve had this issue for a while now but now that I actually want to do some graphically demanding things so a solution would be much appreciated.

General specs;

  • Intel Core i7-4710MQ @2.5 GHz

    2x GTX 860M Nvidia Graphics Cards

    18 GB RAM (2x 8GB, 1x 2GB)

    250 GB SSD

    1 TB HDD

    Windows 10 64-bit (Upgraded from 8.1)
Problems:

  • Code 43 on primary 860M when Nvidia driver is installed. No problems when running on Windows Basic Display Driver.

    When running Windows Basic Display Driver the card is not allocated an IRQ slot, (unable to check when Nvidia driver is installed, as it don't use any resources with the code 43),

    "Generic PnP monitor" is situated on Windows Basic Display Driver, although both my 860Ms are recognized by my computer

    Nvidea Control Panel comes up with the error "You are currently not using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU”.

    The Sager Hotkey Utility Control Center cashes instantaneously upon attempted opening.

    Unable to project to any secondary display.
Temporary solutions;

  • Physically removed and reinstalled both graphics cards, checked connections.

    Updated (V)BIOS using custom Celvo (Sager) BIOS software from premamod.com, I can't find any official Celvo BIOS updates for my model.
Neither of these work as a solution after the problem arose again.

Unsuccessful attempted solutions (in no particular order);

  • Updated BIOS to an even newer version.

    Updated from Windows 8.1 to 10, problem just carried over.

    Complete system refresh (multiple times).

    System restore to a time when the aforementioned temporary solutions worked.

    Reinstalled Windows 8.1 and 10 (multiple times).

    Used install disks to install drivers.

    Used Windows update to install drivers after refreshing.

    Turned Windows update off completely.

    Updated all drivers from the official Sager driver page.

    Used DDU for every different setting it allows

    Done a number of comprehensive scans for Malware.

    Cleaned with CC Cleaner.

    Defragged HDD and optimised SSD.

    Rolled back the Nvidia driver (Haven't tried any versions prior to around 330).
I live in Australia and my computer was ordered from America, so spending it back is both timely and expensive.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Sam :)
