Hi, I'm going to buy a new ASUS laptop which I'll be using mostly for game developing in general, programming, 3D modelling and occasionaly gaming. I have 2 very similar models (both 8GB RAM, GTX 960M, 1TB HDD etc.) The only diffrence is CPU - Quad Core i7 4gen for 50$ more or Dual Core i7 5gen. Now my question is: Which one is better when it comes to using many programmes at once, for example Unity, Visual Studio, Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Web browser and some music player? My battery has to sometimes last for 1-2 hours without charging and I know that 4gen is energy consuming.

i7 4720hq will be WAY more powerful but beware! That CPU has a 40+W TDP which means it will get pretty hot and the laptop will most likely be loud so you should purchase a cooling pad along with that laptop.
