I have an old externally-converted hard disk connected by usb to a new computer.
It seems to have a head failure and is not recognized by the new one. Here's a link of what happens when I turn it on: https://youtu.be/8RNhznC1oLA
Thank you very much for your help

Solution
That drive is, unfortunately, stuffed. It might be recoverable by a good data recovery firm, but that will cost quite a bit.

Opening the cover lets in dust, which collides with the head and pretty much trashes it. There is a reason they tell you not to open them.

Basically, buy a new drive.
