Hello there

Realtek HD audio manager recognizes my headset (with 2 jacks, one for microphone, one for audio) but only allows one to be used. Either I can use my microphone and have no sound, or listen to lovely sounds but not be able to talk. I tried the " seperate all input jacks as independant input devices" but didn't help. It basically sees it as one device and makes me choose between talking or listening.

It's connected to the front panel and I'm using an Msi z97 gaming 5 motherboard. Anyone have any idea what I can do to solve this, preferably first without buying some adapter.

Solution
It shows the green bar moving for sounds and you get no sound? The device isn't being recognized by drivers may mean it's faulty. I don't know what else it could be, sorry.

I uninstalled the realtek HD manager, now the sounds recognizes my headset as both a playback device and a microphone but I have no audio coming out. Microphone works though.

WIth realtek installed it says speakers under playback and microphone under recording. With it removed, so just the windows version it says headphones under playback and microphone under recording. I've tried to install a driver but it asks me to connect the audio device even though it's plugged in, it then stops the installation of the driver.
