My Asus k55vm has no signs of this play I can't seem but the lights on the bottom of the laptop work but I can't seem to find any signs of life on the screen or an external monitor already check the room and I've already checked the motherboard but not sure if the fans who that it's a sign of life for the lights prove that it's a sign of life but the external adapter the AC adapter works

Hi,
Seems like you've done most of the troubleshooting steps needed to identify the issue. It looks like a hardware problem already the motherboard to be exact but do try these other troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Try another AC adapter first that has the same voltage with yours because it may be a case of a bad AC adapter were it's not supplying enough voltage to power the laptop.
- Next is to reseat the RAM, take them all off the laptop for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure that they are seated properly.
- Last test you can do is to power the laptop without it's battery.
- If all these will not work I would contact Asus for a repair if it's still under the factory warranty.
