Hi guys! My name is Ankit Kumar. I am an Indian. I had a desktop which I bought in 2012 for about $400. At that time I had no idea of processor's GPU's and all which I discovered later. Now my friends have laptops

and I become very jealous when I ask them for any game or software and they reply that my system won't be able to run it. It makes me feel inferior.

So I want to buy a powerful all rounder laptop. My budget is around $1200. I want the best of my money. I should be fully satisfied with my investment. I would like to have laptop with the following qualities :

1. Very good screen between 14 to 18 inches with a sharp bright clear screen of minimum screen resolution of 1920 x 1080.

2. A very powerful fast Intel gaming Processor (with hypethreading) mostly i7's or 6th generation i5 might work for me. (latest if possible)

3. A very powerful graphics card for lots of hardcore gaming, video and image editing. And with at least 2 gb of vram.

3. A powerful and customizable (if possible) motherboard with over clocking support (if possible). 4. At least 8 GB of super fast ram.

5. Effective cooling system.

6. Should be durable (at least 3 years).

7. Should have very high quality audio output.

8. Should have all necessary ports.

9. Should have WiFi.

10. Very good cool customizable back-lit keyboard and a good touchpad.

11. At least good quality high speed SSD or hard drive or both or SSHD.

12. It should be thin (if possible).

13. Should not be very very heavy.

14. A battery life of at least 3 hrs.

15. Should run very smoothly without hanging.

In short I want everything affordable in my budget. It should look very cool and high tech. It should be like WOW!

Will you be buying your laptop from India or the US. Because $1200 will net you a good gaming laptop abroad. The previous poster has linked you two.

1200 is approximately 80k INR. I found an Asus GL552JX on flipkart. It's for around 79k. Only problem with it is that it has a 950m which isn't exactly a 1080p gpu. So you will have to tone down a few settings.

Also are you buying a laptop just cause your friends have one? Cause you have a pretty decent budget which could get you a pretty powerful desktop computer that will blow away most gaming laptops
