I have found some options which seemed okay to me, but as I am in college and fairly short on funds, I would like the opinion of others before making the decision. I don't need a touch screen, a 500GB HDD is enough, 4GB RAM is enough, I can upgrade that for cheap later if needed. I would like to have it for at least 3 years so reliability is quite important. I currently have an Asus K55N which I was very satisfied with, but its over 3 years old now and it's starting have issues (it survived a lot, I travel and take it with me everywhere so its no surprise its starting to give in). For what I have listed, should I be looking at AMD or Intel? I currently have AMD.
