computer: Lenovo y50-z laptop
CPU: 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ (2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB)

story:it was the day after fallout 4 came out and i was installing it on my lenovo y50-z without knowing whether or not id be able to handle it on this laptop. i could not handle it and the game consistently crashed, and i decided to try uninstalling and reinstalling the display adapters in order to fix the problem, however it persisted and i decided to uninstall the game. now the problems changed.

after the game was uninstalled i tried playing other games such as fallout 3. however the games started constantly crashing, and after they did they would have "failed to initialize renderer" errors. so i decided to do a system restore to a couple of days before i installed the game. now here's where it gets worse.

the problems persisted over the next two weeks, at a slower pace. in order to try and ultimately solve the problem i decided to do a system reset, completely wiping it of files and basically restarting with just the windows 10 OS. however now when i try to run games they do not function at all and i am forced to restart the computer in order to have the ability to access it. i can do simple things such as internet surfing and documents and coding, but i cannot run games or anything heavy like that.

i commonly see the blue screen with a smiley face that says" just a second gathering crash data before we restart" and the infamous "VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR " error. and help is wanted. i would like to solve the crash issue and be able to run the games again without having to ship my laptop to get it fixed by lenovo again (last time it was a corrupted RAM issue for an unknown reason).
