Audio/video keeps glitching/has electronic interference

I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad 500 2 weeks ago and I'm already experiencing some issues. The one really getting on my nerves right now would be that whenever I stream videos on Youtube or anywhere on the internet in general, there's electronic interference. However, they play smoothly if I download them. This even happens when I'm running games as the cutscenes keep glitching as well.

Also, I had a problem where my laptop kept freezing randomly before. One of my mates checked my laptop and said that my disk driver usage was really high even though I had no large files open (around 80%+) and then recommended me to get an SSD as my current HDD isn't good.

Any help would be appreciated, preferably regarding the audio/video glitching.

Solution
Reinstalling the OS is one solution. It's kind of an extreme one, but it's great for determining whether the issue is software or hardware; if you continue having freezing on a clean install of the OS, then it's time to start troubleshooting the hardware.
Electronic interference...? Can you expand on that/be more specific?

Freezing isn't typically the result of a slow hard drive, but rather an underlying problem with software. If you clone everything over to an SSD, there's a fair chance the laptop will still freeze.

Hate to recommend this right off the bat, but have you considered backing up your data (if needed) and using the factory recovery?

Sorry for the extremely late reply, and yes, I factory reset it. The issue stopped for a solid week but then it froze again 2 days ago. Is it normal for the laptop to freeze every now and then? It hasn't happened again so I'm assuming it's less frequent now. Also, the interference with the audio has completely stopped after the reset.

No worries. :)

Kind of difficult to pinpoint without being able to troubleshoot the system in person. Have you put any programs back on that were on the computer before you reset it? Been to the same - or any shady - websites? (I ask this because it's not normal for any computer to intermittently freeze.)

Glad to hear the audio issue cleared up!

Just games like League of Legends for example. Apart from un-installing any programs, is there any other solution? Like re-installing the OS or something?

I see. I'll wait for it to freeze once more to get a rough idea of how frequently it happens, will do the needful then. Thanks so much for your help.
