My Power Adapter is not Charging and I keep getting a pop-up saying: “The power adapter attached to your notebook is not recognized. Attach a supported power adaptor with at least 65 watts.” I am using the correct charger. My understanding is it is probably a BIOS issue, but not sure how to proceed. Any help appreciated.

I am guessing that the output from the correct charger is no longer correct in voltage or something. Check with the notebook manufacturer's website. You will probably have to buy a new charger.

Thanks for the follow up. Unfortunately, I am using a new Dell Adapter specified by Dell for the Latitude E5540. This was my first solution effort since I was having the same issue with my old adapter
