Onkyo 7.1 Home theater system

Hi All,

Whats your opinion on onkyo products, especially in Home theater segment do they sound good,
how it competes with Sony, i prefer onkyo but i need some more clarification, i am little audioholic so please suggest, i know it is subjective but still ?

I've used Sony home theatre products for years and have come to the conclusion
they aren't the best bang for the buck. They have a lot of glitz and glamour.
I have heard a lot of Yamaha, Onkyo, and Denon, and I have respect for all three.
Same price range usually yields a much truer to sound amplifier and I believe a longer life.

Yamaha, Onkyo and Denon are really good for the money

I prefer Yamaha in general tho'.
Sony is not among my fav brands for A/V receivers or home theater.

Buy a 7.1 a/V from Yamaha, Denon or Onkyo and get a 7.1 speaker set from e.g. nubert.de and you are good to go.
