Hey everyone.
I have an asus n76vx, i5 2.4ghz, 8gb ram, nvidia gforce 650m 2gb [mod edit: running Windows 7]
The problem is:
Everytime I start my laptop, freezes, my taskbar changes to classic (grey) and my wifi signal shows an red X on it. I have to wait for about 10 minutes to recover. In these 10 minutes, my screen flashes manytimes untill it change to the normal taskbar and the red X on wifi dissappear. Besides that, I can't run chrome. Is getting stucked and I have to reboot the laptop. When is back to normal, still freezes sometimes when I use some programs or IE. I tried many things. Defrag, clean registry, reinstall win, antivirus, antimallware, dissable windows search, sfc scannow. Also I tried to make a restore point after a fresh win reinstall, but there is no restore points anymore. I really don't know what should I do anymore.

Solution
Hi,

Start by updating the drivers of your laptop. (Graphics and Wireless Adapter)
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the NVIDIA driver
- Open Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to NVIDIA.
- Download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
- Reboot the PC once the driver has been installed.
- Do the same with the wireless adapter.
- Here's the link: http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&m=N76VZ
- Also disable all your startup items.
- Press the Windows key + R at the same time and type "msconfig" then press OK.
- Once System Configuration is open click on Startup tab.
- Click on Disable all but put the check back on Wireless and Nvidia
- Click Apply and OK...
