My Acer V3 571G kept shutting down due to too much heat and I took things in my own hands and took it apart after watching a video. (This nice video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcAMlm2_FvY). I have experience with desktop assembly so I thought what the hell.
Thing is, I just got to the keyboard removing part and cleaned the fan with a brush without taking out the motherboard. Everything looked fine, and reassembled it and booted it up (without power plugged in as I was excited to see the results).
Here is the tricky part - it booted the first time, big ACER logo on screen and then BIOS asked Safe Mode or Continue Windows Normally and whatnot as last time it shut down unexpectedly. I chose Continue Windows Normally, I don't remember if it rebooted or continued on from there, but there wasn't a thing on the screen but power button is on. I plug power cord, pressed power button again for hard boot and then power again and now nothing. Not even a flicker on the screen.
Is it dead? :(
