As the title suggests, I'm looking for a laptop solution that has the FX 8800p and can take 2133 MHz RAM. I would also be interested in an a12 8800b, or an FX 7600p. The laptop doesn't have to sell with the 2133 MHz RAM, but the board inside does need to be able to receive the upgrade. To save time, I've already checked out all the HP and Toshiba socket FP4 boards, and they only support 1600 MHz. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Why do you need 2133 ram? Most 2133 has a higher latency and thus, can be slower than good 1600mhz.

"the DDR3 rate depends on the socket. While the maximum rate is still 2400 MHz, socket SP2 APUs will be limited to 2133 MHz, and socket FP4 APUs will support up to 1866 MHz. "

Not going to happen anyways.

That determination is program dependent. Memory latency is less of an issue than speed is with the streaming games I have been asked to optimize for.

Honestly every manufacturer has proprietary Laptop boards. While the chip can handle up to 2133 mhz memory there is no guarantee anyone runs it. You would be better served contacting the manufacturers directly than waiting for an answer here, I doubt anyone is going to know off the top of their head.

I did a few minutes of research finding only HP, Toshiba, and ASUS selling laptops with that chip and all of them limiting the TDP to conserve battery life. And using 5600 rpm hard drives. Considering that I am fairly certain none have that memory nor do they support it. Unfortunately the ASUS was impossible to find the spec.

Ram speed does have an impact on an APU especially If you dont have a discrete graphics card. The APU uses system memory as graphics memory (which on a discrete card is faster than DDR3 ram). Therefore slow RAM on an APU may become a bottleneck for The graphics. I do not know what memory Lenovo y700 acz supports (original only 1600mhz) but it is one of The most powerful AMD laptops out there now.
