Driver_Power_State_Failure EVERY NVIDIA GeForce GTX update!

Hello there,

I have been crashing my computer (ASUS, INTEL Core i7, 64bit, 16GB RAM, what else do you need?) every time I try to update my NVIDIA GeForce GTX driver in Windows 8.1!
I run Ubuntu as a dual-boot and it works properly and is installed in another physical drive.

What should I provide for good advice on this?

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in resolving the issue.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall NVIDIA graphics driver.
- Open Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to NVIDIA graphics.
- Download and install the latest driver from NVIDIA.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
- Reboot the laptop once the driver has been installed.
