Hello,

I have been having the same problem my headset for the past month or so now and found no solution nor reason as to why it's actually happening.

I've owned and used the Logitech G35 headset now for 2 years nearly and only recently began having this problem. When I use my headset on my Playstation 4 and then proceed to plug it back into my PC to use, I get an instant error message in my device manager under the Universal Serial Bus controllers saying -

"Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed).

When I check the properties, the 'Device status' -

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

There are moments, upon restarting, when the headset will work properly for only 20 seconds and then I get an error message saying it's failed like usual.

The problem seems to sort it self out eventually after disconnecting, connecting, rebooting windows, uninstalling the driver, in various combinations and I have actually reinstalled windows to see it that would fix the problem - which did until I used it on my Playstation 4 and then tried using it again on my PC.

Other points worth mentioning which I've tried or noted:

- I have disabled and re-enabled the device
- When it works, it shows in the Device Manager under the 'Sound, video and game controllers' subheading and not the 'Universal Serial Bus controllers' subheading - which is where it shows whilst not working.
- I have tried updating all of my USB hubs and do have the latest drivers installed for my motherboard.
- I've had this problem in Windows 8.1 and now in Windows 10 (which is my current OS).
- There is no physical damage to the USB itself that I can see (plus it works perfectly in my PS4 and on my PC when working).

Please, if anybody can suggest anything I haven't tried, has seen this problem and/or knows some sort of permanent fix, it would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want to sell this headset and buy a new one (which is what I'm swaying towards at the moment).

Thanks.
