Good day.

I have a 5-year old Toshiba Satellite P755 and it no longer turns on. Each time I hit the power button, the laptop turns off only after a few seconds. I think the problem has to do with the power supply (both charger and battery) since the laptop doesn't seem to have any problems with it.

Any thoughts if this is likely the cause or am I maybe something else is wrong??

Hi,

Just to be sure, have you tried another AC adapter or battery if available the same with your laptop? You can grab a multi tester to check if the AC adapter is supplying enough voltage required by your laptop to power it on or charge. If it's working properly that means you have a bad motherboard or the power supply which is still part of the board.
