My laptop after closing it shut entered,perhaps sleep mode. Whenever I turn it back on I only get a black screen though it see

Hi,
Do try changing the Power Options of your laptop.
- Right click on the battery icon and select Power Options.
- On the left pane click on "Choose what the power buttons do"
- Once open you'll see "When I press the power button" select Shut down.
- Click on Save changes then try it again.
