Hey can anyone help me with my Dell inspiron 15 5000 series latop? Everytime when I unplugged the laptop from it's charger it goes to BSOD and says "THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER".

Thanks

Only when plugged in? It kind of sounds like a problem with the CPU; "thread" referring to a CPU thread.

You can use any number of programs designed to analyze the log file from BSODs to, hopefully, get a better understanding of what's causing the crash. Feel free to try Bluescreenview, that's a decent one.

Hey, I checked the program and it shows two red texted text which are "atikmdag.sys and dxgkrnl.sys". Also the other one a different error which is "SYSTEM_SERVICES_EXCEPTION" and the two red text are "ACPI.sys and ntoskrnl.exe". Also one more thing, my laptop fan became really loud and full speed since I upgraded to Windows 10 and I don't know how to stop it or lower the speed.

The first two are video related; the system services one is kind of vague, and the other two are Windows-specific applications. Usually, when crashes are all over the place like this, the problem is often either bad/conflicting drivers, faulty memory/RAM, or - least likely - a faulty motherboard.

Sorry, you did say "unplugged" in your OP. I read that wrong. :na:

Since this is only happening on battery, I'm suspecting a power-related fault. You can try reinstalling your drivers, or even Windows for that matter, but the system may need diagnosed by a tech or by the manufacturer.

How do I reinstall the drivers? Do I have to have some kind of CD? Because the Dell company didn't give me anything. Not even the Windows CD....

Yeah, they don't provide discs anymore - or it's rare, at least.

You can obtain the drivers by going to Dell's website and looking up your model on their support page. Usually the quickest way to find this page is to simply do a Google search for "laptop model drivers" (where "laptop model" is your specific laptop model).

Hey, my brother have the windows installation CD and he already saved it on my usb stick. And I was planning to reinstall my windows but.... will I be able to install my windows back? I was thinking that they will ask my for the windows key and I won't be able to install it. Also I wasn´t able to Refresh and Recover the windows so my last chance is to reinstall it.... :p

*My laptop fan is noisy because the bearing is broken, but I was able to fix it by bending the metal casing of the fan a bit :D*

Yeah, you will need the OEM key for sure in order to activate it. ;) You can install Windows 7 or Windows 10 without the key, but if you don't activate it soon after, you won't be able to download updates and you'll be really limited.

You bent the metal housing?? Lol. Be careful! You can also get rid of bearing noises by using a lubricant (a high grade lubricant works better than WD-40).

Hey, if I buy a new fan but it is not exactly the same type of fan, will it fit?.. *I´m starting to get really tired of this laptop, because I just bought it in Argentina for a REALLY high price. And everything is just falling appart, first the fan started making noises and now the BSOD....*

Usually it will not. Fans tend to be model specific.

BSODs are usually either a software problem or sometimes memory. Hopefully it's just software. I would hate to see your new purchase have hardware failures one after another.

Now what should I do, my fan is broken and when I want to install the windows it (The laptop) overheats. The problem is I can´t find a new fan anywhere in Argentina. And I really need the laptop for school and all that.... welp... guess it´s totalled. :p

Usually fans are hard to find through etailers. Your best source would probably be a private seller; a lot of people go through eBay for individual parts like this, but I don't know how well eBay will treat you in Argentina.
