reset Toshiba satellite pro SPA40 when 0 does not work

Solution
Turn laptop off.
Hold down '0' key before you turn on your laptop.
Keep '0' key pressed as you press the power-on button.

If that doesn't work, your only other option is to order a set of Backup Media from Toshiba:

For Europe: https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/

You should have made your own set of recovery discs using the pre-installed Toshiba utility when your laptop was new, then you wouldn't have to buy a set from Toshiba (they may not even have a set for older models so it's even more essential to make your own).
