I have a Toshiba satellite C655-S5512 with windows 7. When I push the power button to turn it on the light indicator in the front is green and the number lock indicator turns green but the screen stays a blank backlighted grayish color. Then after about 15seconds the screen goes black for 2seconds then back to the grayish backlight color. The number lock indicator turns off and stays off yet the green indicator in the front is on still saying my power is on. I don't know what's wrong, I need help please!

Hi there Millie Millz,

As the laptop can't even boot up to BIOS, then I would say that most probably your HDD isn't the problem. The thing is that you can't really be sure what is causing it. It could be MOBO, RAM, CPU, etc. The situation is even more complicated due to the fact that this is a laptop but not a desktop(where you can easily troubleshoot components).
In case your laptop is under warranty, it may be a good idea to contact the place you got it from.
In case it is not, you may need to contact a repair shop.

Cheers,
