My computer boots into bios.
I've tried everything but I just can't get out of bios and boot to Windows no matter what. This happened when I updated my bios. I also deleted the raid volume of one of my disks. I don't think that did it though cause I couldn't boot to Windows even when I didn't do it.

Plz help
Thx

Hi dhiraj,

Your drives might be in quite a lot of trouble at this point.

Most likely what happened after your BIOS update is that the settings for your RAID array were reset back to default and lost. At this point you also deleted the raid volume on one of your disks, which depending on what RAID type you are running will make the data on the disk irretrievable.

Can you tell us exactly what your drive setup is/ was?

My drives were in raid zero.
I put them back in raid zero btw but still can't boot to Windows.
Also I had a question: can I use my system recovery disk to get windows back? Don't want to use it if not necessary.
Thx

I think there is a good chance you've lost the data on the RAID drives.

If you've set your BIOS back to the RAID settings and still not seeing a boot option then the drives are quite likely corrupted at this point. You certainly can use your System Recovery to re-format the drives and re-install a fresh Windows OS.

Did you back up your hard drives before the BIOS update? :(
