my lenovo G580 shows only lenovo logo after switching on and nothing works. what i should do???

whenever i switch on my lenovo laptop it only shows lenovo logo and even if i press any set up button or boot up button nthing is happening. only black screen occurs. even i tried switching on with connecting the charger and removing the battery still nothing is happening. what am i supposed to do to resolve the problem??

Hi,

First, remove the HDD off the laptop and see if it get's pass the Lenovo logo because if it do that means it's the suspect but if it doesn't it's your motherboard that has a problem. Put the HDD back in making sure that it's seated properly then try to boot it up and see if gets pass the Lenovo screen because loose connection can also cause that problem. Make sure that there's also no other devices connected to your laptop like USB drives, Printer or cellphone.

Its a motherboard problem. I am facing the same problem, i tried changing HDD, RAM, battery, charger, wifi, keyboard one by one with other g580. After all this i came to the conclusion that some power IC is the issue. its time to visit service center

Hi Nerd, hope you well. I did remove my HDD and the logo moved but when I put it back on it continued with the logo. What the next suggestion because with me if it did this, I would turn it off over night then turn back on and it's fine but today it has gone out the whole day!!! And this is my Life as I am a designer
