My external monitor connected to a laptop by an HDMI cable is black. The display for the laptop acts like a second monitor works. Mouse goes off screen, and the external is set to be the default display but the external is black. The external works I can put things on it and pull them back with my mouse but the screen is black. I have used the external for a while and changed nothing, it just went black.
I have not updated drivers and run windows 7.
