I'm having an issue with my Lenovo Y50. The laptop is fairly new, only a few months old, but everytime I shutdown the laptop and turn it back on the screen goes black, I can't even get to my lock screen. The laptop was very pricey too, around £1000 since I got the 4k, gtx 960 version. And for that amount of money I wouldn't of expected such stupid problem. Any help would be great, really want this fixed.

Thanks!

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in resolving the issue.
- Do a hard reset first, unplug the AC adapter and press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
- If there are lights on the laptop (HDD and WIFI indicator) try and connect an external monitor and see if you'll get any display from it.
- If there's no light on the laptop you may need to reseat the RAM first but if you're not comfortable opening your laptop I would suggest to contact Lenovo Support for a repair if it's still under the factory warranty.
