This laptop came with windows 8 and not 8.1 and was rolled back to windows 7 ultimate. I need to adjust the touchpad settings and have spent hours trying to find it. Normally, in the system tray area, there would be an icon for it but there is not. Can anyone out there help me?

Hi,

Normally, you can locate the model number of your laptop by looking at the bottom of it where there are sticker labels. Here's another way to get the model number of your laptop:

  • Click Start and right click on Computer then select Properties.
  • On the Properties screen, you'll see the model number of your laptop under System.

To adjust or calibrate Touchpad settings:

  • Click Start then Control Panel
  • Look for Synaptics or ASUS Smart Gesture (this may vary depending on what your laptop came in with).
  • From there, you'll be able to calibrate or change the behavior of your laptop.
  • If it's not present, you can just download it from ASUS Support site.
  • Here's the link...
