New Asus ROG vs Alienware 18

Out of the two, I prefer the ROG line, but they're both fairly even overall (pros & cons to both).

Something it might be worth holding out for (if you can), is the ROG GX700. Still a concept really, but indications were it would ship before year-end. Sounds like an interesting proposition, with 'k' CPU's, full desktop GPUs and removeable water cooling dock.

Best case, that laptop might be exactly what you're looking for. Worst case, it may lower the ROG line of laptops pricing slightly.

Just food for thought.
