Amd A8 7470 vs core i5

I m planning to buy a laptop and searched many laptops in the end there are two basic difference and i have selected two
One have 5th generation i5 processor with Nvidia geforce 820m 2gb graphics
Other has Amd accelerated A8 7470 processor with Amd radeon R7 m360 2 gb graphics i m a hardcore gamer and also do a little programming so which one i should go for

the r7 m360 is far more powerful for gaming.

Notebookcheck shows it as a class 2 (mid range) card vs a class 3 (entry level) for the 820m.

If you will use that for a lot of games, neither of those is really good unless on low quality and lower resolution. For a starter real gaming laptop you want a 950m at least for newer games at low settings.

If you live in the US, then buy the following Acer laptop for $500 which has a core i5-5200u, 1080p screen and a nVidia 940m. The Radeon R7 M360 is not much better than a nVidia 920m. For "hardcore gaming" most people would probably say the nVidia GTX 960m / Radeon R9 m280x are the minimum GPU to get. The 940m is only powerful enough to play most games at 1366x768 / 1600x900 at low or medium graphic settings. It depends on the game.
