I may be getting the first one and my brother likes the second one

I will be playing mostly :
Minecraft
First Person Shooters like COD
Roblox
Counter-Strike Global Offensive
I will also use Adobe Photoshop and Eclipse.

My brother will be using:
Minecraft
First Person Shooters like COD
Roblox
Counter-Strike Global Offensive
G-Mod
And also software for animating like Flash Pro.

Thanks for your help!

At a quick glance, both laptops basically has the same specs with the exception of the graphics chip. The HP has the nVidia 940m which is more powerful than the nVidia 930m. I don't really see the point in the Toshiba laptop because it basically costs the same with a less powerful GPU unless it has a specific feature that you want.

The 940m should allow you to play Minecraft, Roblox and CSGO with maxed out graphics at 1080p since they are not demanding games.

"First Person Shooters like COD" is very general which can probably include Crysis 3 which is extremely demanding and you would have to play that game on low resolution with low graphic settings to get decent performance. See following link for some game benchmarks. Note that...

Idon't really like either of those brands. Every HP I've seen that's over a year old has been in tough shape. I've had the harddrives fail on two Toshiba laptops but that was a few years ago, and I have a Toshiba ssd thats been fine so far so idk if they've fixed the issues.

As for Photoshop, Eclipse, Flash... the CPU and the 940m should be fine.
