By resetting factory settings will my laptop hve the same programmes as when I first purchased it?

I am a tech novice and was wondering what a factory reset means in very basic terms - will my laptop be pretty much exactly the same as when I first took it out of the box or will I need to install the basic programmes that it came with again?

Hi,

For most laptop when you do a Factory Reset it will wipe it clean install Windows that came with your PC and all the software that came with it. You are correct about it will be like just how you got it right out from the box. It's like starting from scratch.
