So I got a new gaming PC last month and today is the first time i tried using a microphone. The problem is the microphone gets detected by both Realtek HD and windows, but it captures no sound whatsoever. I tested it on the TeamSpeak Input options, the most I heard was some low humming/static. I tried using both the front pink jack, and the jack on the back of my pc, to no avail. I also updated to the latest Realtek HD drivers. Boosted the sound up to different levels on the control panel, also, no results.

Headset: Razer Kraken
Mobo: MSI Z97gaming 3

Any suggestions??

Evening,

Is there a button or something on the headset or cable that say's something about activating the MIC?

You could try what the guy is doing this video,

You need a USB Stereo Audio Adapter appartenly but I wouldn't think they made the headset expecting people to just KNOW to buy this adapter to get the MIC working.

Many thanks!

Hey,
Thanks for your help and I am sorry it took me so long to reply. Anyway, I bought the adapter and got it today, problem is, it still doesn't work... It does show up in the Recording devices, but it picks up no sound whatsoever.... also i forgot to mention, the headset works perfectly on my laptop.
