Hi,
If your laptop is overheating, try and clean up the inside of your laptop first. Remove any dust stopping the fans from spinning freely. Apply a new thermal paste on to the CPU and GPU as well to help with cooling of your laptop. Do consider doing all these first before using the laptop again specially for gaming because you'll end up having the same problem when you continue on using your laptop without doing the said troubleshooting steps.
