I originally thought it had stopped charging because my cord had some damage. After buying a new charger and realizing this was not the case, I went online to find my answer. The only solution I could find was to pop out the battery, ram, and unplug the AC adapter, hold power button for 30-60 seconds, the plug the AC adapter back in. I could not turn my computer on at all prior to this it was a great surprise to me when I saw the screen come on. After around 3 seconds it shut off again though. I have done this many times and cannot get it to stay on. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions or could at least tell me what might be wrong with my laptop. Thanks!

Hi,

Do you still other light on the laptop other than the power indicator? If you do try and connect an external display and see if you'll get any display from it. If you do there might be an issue either with the built in display or the cable connecting the display to the motherboard. Lastly, try to reset BIOS to it's default as well. Remove the CMOS battery for couple of seconds then just put it back in after and try powering on the laptop again.
