I have a 50 inch samsung , i have no cable and just want to watch regular channels, but having trouble hooking the indoor antenna

Solution
Model number of the TV and antenna would help.
The TV (if it has a tuner in it) would have an antenna or RF jack on it. Looks like a threaded cylinder with a small hole in the center. The antenna should have a connector on it that has a wire in the center that goes in the hole and then the barrel threads onto the cylinder. The position of the antenna is critical. Higher is usually better and if it is directional should point towards the TV station transmitter tower.
After you make the connection you will have to set up the TV for ova reception by have the TV scan for available channels. It won't tune in any unless you do this. How many channels you get will depend on the antenna and your location.

I am currently living in the Philippines. I bought my Samsung Model UA40H5100 tv in the Philippines. My television does not have a RF coaxial input jack, it has what looks like a RCA input jack. I have tried to find out from SAMSUNG and have looked at their site with no result as they only show a coaxial RF input with threads which this does not have. I therefore can not plug in a antenna, or even use cable. I am using the two HDMI inputs one for my computer and one for my PS4. This antenna input jack states that it is indeed the antenna input jack, as it is written on it, but it is not a RF Coaxial tv antenna input jack. So your answer does not fit for me! I only contacted Samsung today so I have no answer from them directly. I did look at their How To guide which shows a RF coaxial antenna input jack...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr~
