Hi. so i recently bought a pair of new unused 5.1 speakers. The problem is they didn't come with a Amplifier/Receiver(they were replacement for a broken Receiver, but the company sent the speakers as well) and since they use Speaker wire to connect. I can't plug them into my PC.

so I have had a few ideas of what will work. But I haven't been able to find it or it is really expensive.

#1. PC sound card that takes Speaker wire instead of 3.5mm jacks... Couldn't find it.

#2. Buy a subwoofer with speaker wire outputs(like on the Logitech z906 5.1 Speaker set)... Cant find one that has that.

#3. A powered 3.5mm to speaker wire adapter(powered so I don't blow a speaker)

#4. Buy a cheap used 5.1 Channel receiver... I found it. but it was a little pricey for me.

If anyone can help with this that would be great!
Thanks in advance.

P.S. The speakers I got are here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B003O85BHM/
But as I said, it is missing the receiver/amplifier.

1 and 2 do not exist (2 is only in a set not alone).

3 is the same as 4, you need to use a cheap 5.1 channel receiver. There is no such thing as a powered 3.5 mm adapter, thats an amplifier.

Buying a cheap 5.1 channel receiver is the only way to power these speakers from your system.
