Hi everyone,

I'm trying to fix my mums Toshiba Satellite L750D - 1GC laptop. Quick story; I updated it to Windows 10 and the wifi would not work tried to see if it was Windows 10 being the issue so I put it back to Windows 7 but after I did the trackpad and keyboard have stopped working altogether apart from the Fn key which doesn't help me at all. Whats makes it worse is that no usb mouses or keyboards I plug in seem to work! I've tried a few work arounds already like taking out the battery, pressing F9 in the BIOS etc but still nothing. The last thing would be to do a system restore. I have a Windows 7 disk so if anyone knows a way of fixing the issue or could talk me though doing a system restore via the BIOS but still keeping files like photos etc (If possible restore it to a previous date) that would be great.

Thanks very much,
Jack

Hi,

With Windows 10 they actually took off System Restore and replaced it with a System Refresh where you'll have certain options like refresh your pc with or without affecting your files. Here's the steps on how to do it. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ph/windows-10/refresh-is-part-of-reset-in-windows-10#

But if that doesn't do the trick try to download and install the driver for both Touchpad and Keyboard from Toshiba support site.
Here's the link where you can download those drivers from. You'll need the model number of your laptop located at a sticker at the bottom.
