What is difference between Razer Kraken USB Headset and Razer Kraken 7.1? Do they both have 7.1 surround sound system or what is the main difference between them?

I've got the Kraken 7.1 and using it right now as we speak.

I would highly recommend it although do keep in mind it has a lot of bass to it!
So you would need to adjust the EQ via the Razer program.

Using the default sounds terrible because if your listening to music or something it will sound very muffled and you will just feel your headset vibrate.

If you need a hand of the EQ levels ask me and Ill send you a picture of mine

Other than that by looks the only thing different is the 7.1 lights up and improved microphone

I have a Kraken Chroma (also lights up) and while the sound is great, I'm not sure it's the best headset I've used. That's preference but I don't they fit my head the greatest... though I'm used to a behind the head headset as well.

Most people do find the headset very uncomfortable but it all depends as you said of your preference.
At first I found the headset very uncomfortable but I've had it for about a week and its starting to become comfy.

I read from somewhere it loosens up and is the best once you give it some wear and tear. But if it doesn't fit your ears properly you can purchase additional ear cups

Yeah I've had mine for about a month now and it's still a work in progress. I love how easily i can hear footsteps in Battlefield 4 over my old logitech, but at the same time I can no longer hear anything else around me and I like having situational awareness... or being able to hear the news on TV while playing.
