Today, however, I got it out of storage to do a comparison with a new laptop I just bought. Before I put my Alienware away, I decided to press the power button and, inexplicably, it started. It's working perfectly apart from making a quiet whining noise, and I was just wondering if anybody could take a guess and what the problem is with this new information. Is there any software I could run that may diagnose the problem? Thanks for reading!
