Hey,

Is there a utillity or somthing that I can find out exactly what type of graphics card I have on the board. I need to update my grahics driver (i'm running linux).. It's openGL 3.0 an I need 3.3 to run certain games.

When I go onto the manufacturer website I can get up the exact make and model an seriel of the laptop but it just states "intel hd graphics" for the card. I was on the intel website an there is an option to go select a specific card. But no clue which one.

All help is greatly appreciated,
Jay

Intel HD Graphics is part of the processor, it's not a separate dedicated graphics card. The gpu you have will depend on the processor installed in your system.

I can't help with a Linux utility to identify your graphics processor but I'd be looking at the likes of GPU-Z or HWInfo if it was a Windows system.
