Where can I download Borland C++ compiler ?

I am using Code Blocks and my programming professor in college wants us to use the borland compiler and i dont know where to get it ?

Ask them where you are supposed to get if they want you to use it. They can't want you to use tools they don't provide or you have to pirate to get.

I'm going to assume that your professor wants you to use Turbo C++ 2.01, as it's free and considered "antique." However, Turbo C++ 3.0 and 3.1 are not free and still considered commercial software requiring a license.

People are still taught on these ancient compilers? what about C standards and all. I though gcc is the de facto compiler.

Borland's C++ compiler version 5.5 couldn't be described as "ancient". It is fairly up-to-date with C/C++ standards. GCC is a popular compiler but has a number of non-standard extensions.
