Hello,

Yesterday I accidentally spilled some beer on my laptop and it went inside the touchpad. I turned off my computer, disassembled, cleaned it and left overnight to dry completely. Everything is working fine now except the touchpad buttons. I have to press them really really hard to get them to work. They don't seem to be sticky and click quite well.

Is there any way I could fix it? Is it possible to take the touchpad apart? Maybe there is some liquid left somewhere inside it and that causes problems.

The laptop model is Acer E5-571G.

Thank you!

Hi,

Based from it's structure you can't take it apart and the only way around it is by replacing the touchpad. They normally cost $15 - $30 from ebay, amazon and other computer part replacement stores. The other way around it is using an external wired or wireless mouse as a replacement.
