Hello... For starts I make this post to ask how I can fix this issue I've had for around 3 weeks. I have searched and searched but my laptop is almost impossible to use. Everything is laggy, I managed to get to task manager and noticed my disk was always at 100% and for some reason it shouldn't of been.

Now I need to ask for help. I have a acer laptop Windows 8. Around a year and a half old and in good condition. It just happened randomly out of the blue. I reset everything and lost my data trying to fix things but it didn't help, probably made it worse, so i was just wondering if someone could help ASAP :)

Thanks

1.*Make sure you don't have an SSD* Download defraggler and defrag your system

2.Use disk cleanup from Windows, or ccleaner to clean your temporary files

3.Open msconfig, go to the services tab and disable "superfetch" (If this doesn't work, put the setting back to where you had it before)

4.Open cmd, type in: sfc /scannow
Let the scan complete and once it does, reboot your pc

5.Run seagate seatools and do a s.m.a.r.t test on your hard drive. Any test fails, the hard drive is dieing and will need to be replaced soon. Backup all data you can just in case
