Hi, i've recently bought a notebook, an Asus with W10 and all the driver updated, but when i try to connect any kind of headphones they simply won't make any sound. I've tried basically everything: re-installing the driver (even from Asus website), change the settings from Realtek Audio HD to not show popup when a new device is connected... What can i do? Thanks in advance

Hello Dazee

I was wondering if you have already tested the audio output on a different headphone?

Also, can you please confirm if connecting your headphones to the laptop disables the laptop's internal speakers and no audio output is there, or the headphones are not detected at all and the internal speakers continue giving the sound?

In addition to that, please confirm if even the microphone of the headphone is not functional?

In any case, you may want to start with trying Windows' built-in Find and Fix Problems feature. To do so:

> On your Windows 10, right-click the Start button.

> Click Control Panel from the context menu.

> From the top-right corner of the Control Panel window, ensure that the View by type is set to Category.

> From under the System and Security category, click the Find and fix problems link.

> From the right pane of the Troubleshooting window, from under the Hardware and Sound category, click the Troubleshoot audio playback link and follow the on-screen instructions from there to complete the process.

> Try using your headphones this time.

Hope this helps. :)
