Help! I have an LG tv, 39LN575 and can't figure out how to connect to my old technics stereo. Have seen similar thread and tried cable with 3.5mm jack to red and white adapter but headphone jack didn't go fully in, TV sound stopped and registered on TV automatically as headphone output, but got a hum through the stereo. Weird headphone point on TV, gas symbol but the hole is in a small black blob that sticks out from the TV. Anyone any Ideas?
Your TV seems to have optical audio out port. Get an optical-to-RCA converter, a TosLink cable, and an stereo RCA cable, and you will be able to route audio output from TV to your old guy.
