Asus UX305 Powering On for 5 seconds with a black screen

My ASUS UX305 is not powering on. When I click on the power button, the tiny white light on the right hand corner comes up for 4-5 seconds with absolutely no display on the screen and then the light disappears. I can tell my laptop is charged because when I connect the charger the green light appears on the side. Please help me figure out this issue.

Hi,

Do a hard reset first, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Put just the AC adapter first then see if turns on just fine then put the battery back in as well when it loads into the desktop. Next is to try connecting an external monitor if the first step didn't work. If it shows any display on it that means the LCD display is faulty or the cable connecting the LCD display to the motherboard.
