Is there any way to repair this other than replacing it? Acer parts is quite expensive and hard to find here
The laptop is Acer Apire V5-431
See if the flex cable connecting the screen to the motherboard isn't damaged. Also try to hook it on to an external monitor and see if the same problem persist because if it does it may not be just the screen that has a problem. Worst case is if checking the cables didn't do the trick you really need to replace the screen itself.

I ordered LCD replacement from the internet and it worked fine, the screen itself is problematic.
